Arsenal interested in Kwadwo Asamoah of Udinese

The latest Ghanaian player to be on the radar of European clubs is multi-talented Kwadwo Asamoah of Italian giants Udinese.

Two English Premiership clubs, Manchester City and Arsenal are at each other’s throat for the signature of the young and enterprising left footed player.

Officials of the aforementioned premiership clubs have made their intentions of snatching Asamoah to augment their squads known to the player’s manager.

But a source who disclosed this information to DAILY GUIDE SPORTS said these were early days yet for a deal to be reached between the player and the two interested clubs.

He also expressed doubts as to whether Udinese would let go Asamoah who is young, skillful and has a bright future ahead of him. From I.F. Joe Awuah Jnr., Kumasi

We were interested in the player last summer but Udinese refused to sell and to be honest I can’t see them selling this summer either as the player is on a long term contract and unless he signals intent to leave then why would the Italian club just let their young talent run off? Well they would if a huge offer was made, and Arsenal will not be doing that…unlike Man City. So in my view he won’t be coming to Arsenal this summer as City can outbid us any day and Udinese will probably not want to sell unless a offer which couldn’t be refused came in. Unfortunate as I like this player but there’s not a lot we can do
