[Rate The Rumour] Arsenal Transfer Rumours , Mark Schwarzer or Shay Given?

Starting the last week of April and going through the summer, The Gunning Hawk will bring you one article of the most creative and sensational of Arsenal transfer rumours. Of course, please understand that most of them – if not all of them – are “wrong”, to use the same word used by Arsene Wenger. But, it will interesting to discuss what it would be if one or more transfers do indeed go through.

Arsenal will today face Liverpool at Anfield with manager Arsene Wenger – yet again – saying how he is yet to take a final decision on who his goalkeeper will be for the day.

Wenger said how who will be picked this afternoon will be the regular goalkeeper for the Gunners at least for the first part of the season. In the meantime, both Mark Schwarzer and Shay Given were not utilised on Saturday and this has of course saw many linking them to a possible move to Arsenal. Soccerway.com, for example, believes that Shay Given wants to quit Eastlands with the Gunners in pole position to sign him.

On the other hand, The Sydney Morning Herald reports the same on the 37-year old Aussie, although it seems manager Mark Hughes revealed the reason why the goalkeeper didn’t feature on Saturday was an injury and how nothing has moved in terms of the future of the Australian.

As it seems one or the other will eventually join Arsenal, what we today ask in our poll is who would you prefer. Is it Given or Schwarzer? 526 of our readers said they would be happy to see the Fulham keeper join two days ago but has this changed?
