Shock! Barcelona player admits Fabregas plays for Arsenal

As just about the whole Barcelona team has said at least once (if not three times!) that the Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas should be at the Camp Nou next season, it has come as a shock to me that ONE of them has admitted that Cesc plays for Arsenal, and there is “nothing to be done”.

The Barca midfielder Sergio Busquets is the first to even acknowledge that Fabregas has signed a five-year contract with the Gunners, and he told Sky Sports today: “Fabregas is a great player that would add a lot to the team,” he said.

“But we have to respect that he is owned by another club that is not Barcelona, that he is an Arsenal player and, for the time being, there’s nothing to be done.”

No other member of the Barca team or the management seem to have that respect, and even the great Lionel Messi had a few words to say on the subject.

“I would be delighted if Fabregas came,” he said yesterday. “We played together as kids and he knows the club.”
