Arsenal’s pre-season officially starts tomorrow as we face Barnet in our first friendly game of the summer. Meanwhile, two young strikers are today linked with a possible move to Arsenal.
The club’s official website Transfer Linked today reported how according to the Daily Mail, the Gunners as well as Tottenham are interested in 17-year old Connor Wickham. The youngster impressed during the European Under-17 championships in May where he scored in both the semi-final and final so it seems he’s good indeed.
In other news, Sport.co.uk reports how CFR Cluj forward Lacina Traore is being monitored by Birmingham City, Blackburn Rovers, PSV Eindhoven, Turkish club Galatasaray, German Bundesliga club Hamburg and Arsenal. That the 20-year old – nicknamed the “new Adebayor” – is a target for the Gunners was confirmed by manager Andrea Mandorlini last May.
