Croatia 1-4 England Walcott his hat-trick heroics

FABIO CAPELLO hailed Theo Walcott as world class for his hat-trick heroics against Croatia.
Walcott’s goals put England firmly on the road to qualification for the 2010 World Cup.
And Capello said: “When he plays like this it’s fantastic. He was very dangerous for their defenders and when you are facing someone like Walcott it is not easy with his pace.”

THREE-O WALCOTT scored a magnificent hat-trick as a new England World Cup star was born in Zagreb on Wednesday night.
Walcott fully justified England coach Fabio Capello’s decision to keep faith in him — and jettison David Beckham — as Croatia fell to their first competitive home defeat in 14 years.
The Arsenal teenager scored a hat-trick as the Capello’s quest for World Cup qualification began in earnest with a first home defeat for Croatia in competitive matches.

Walcott, 19, blasted the first competitive England hat-trick since Michael Owen destroyed Germany seven years ago.
But boss Capello warned: “After Andorra I said he would play fantastic games but he would not play at the same level all the games.
“He’s very young and you have to help him. And when he doesn’t play so well, we must support him.”
Wayne Rooney made it 3-0 as England roared to the top of Group Six with two wins out of two.
Capello added: “The result is better than I expected but not the performance.
“I said yesterday there was a lot of confidence among the players and we’ve worked very well for the 10 days that we’ve stayed together.
“This result is great but it’s just a start. It was a good performance, a good result — but it’s only one victory, not more.
“I was also pleased for Rooney to score. He is moving into form now.”
Croatia had Robert Kovac sent off for elbowing Joe Cole, leaving the midfielder with a cut which needed 10 stitches.
Emile Heskey also shrugged off racist chants from the crowd. He said: “You have to ignore it and get on with your game.”
