LONDON - Arsene Wenger believes Thierry Henry would only play for Arsenal if he ever decided to return to the Premier League.
Henry has been linked with a transfer to Manchester United this week, but Gunners manager Wenger is convinced the Barcelona striker wouldn’t move to Old Trafford.
Instead Wenger opened the way for the France star to rejoin Arsenal, where he is idolised after scoring 226 goals in 370 appearances.
Asked about reports of United’s interest, Wenger told Arsenal’s website: "I don’t believe in that. I don’t believe Thierry Henry will come back to England.
"That is my gut feeling. But I think if he comes back to England then he comes back to Arsenal."
