Arsenal’s Fabregas To Miss West Brom Clash, Toure & Nasri Tipped To Recover – Ramsey Could Debut In Premiership Opener

Arsenal playmaker Cesc Fabregas is set to miss the start of the Premiership campaign due to his hamstring injury and as such, new signing Aaron Ramsey could make his debut in the 2008-09 season-opener against West Bromwich Albion on Saturday at the Emirates Stadium.

The Spain international is out of Wednesday night’s Champions League qualifier against Dutch side FC Twente and 17-year-old Wales U-21 international Ramsey, who joined Gunners from Cardiff, is in the frame to take his place.

The Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has several first-team players on the injury list at the moment, namely Kolo Toure, Philippe Senderos, Abou Diaby and new signing Samir Nasri; in addition to Fabregas and long-term absentees Eduardo and Tomas Rosicky.

However, defender Toure (hip) and French winger Nasri (knee) are considered to be having a chance to make it to the Baggies clash.
