The Gunners’ skipper Cesc Fabregas says that he has not yet ruled out staying with the team for the next season. He has been linked with a move to Pep Guardiola and Nou Camp’s side. Last month a 29 million pound bid for Fabregas was turned down.
Currently Cesc Fabregas is in South Africa playing for Spain in the FIFA World Cup 2010.
Arsene Wenger said the 23-year-old will not be allowed to move.
Though it was Fabregas’ dream to play under his boyhood idol Guardiola, but still he insists to remain at the Emirates Stadium.
Fabregas said, “I haven’t said that I will definitely leave Arsenal. Everything is possible. Now I have my head and my focus on the World Cup. I am very proud to be captain of Arsenal and I love the club and have respect for them. It gave me such pride to be made captain.”
Fabregas has also disclosed his frustation with Spanish coach Vicente Del Bosque’s. The coach’s decision was to leave Fabregas on the bench for the finals.
He said, “I always want to play. I’m not used to sitting on the bench and I want to be playing at this World Cup.”
