Wilshere and Lansbury in England U-21 squad

Jack Wilshere and Henri Lansbury have been selected in the England Under-21 squad to face Portugal and Lithuania.

The Young Lions will play two UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifying matches at the start of next month. Lansbury has two Under-21 caps to his name and Wilshere has five. The 18-year-old made his full England debut against Hungary earlier in August.

Nico Yennaris and Benik Afobe have also been called-up by England. They will represent the Under-19s in a home match against Slovakia on September 2. Emmanuel Frimpong was also selected for the match but had to withdraw after suffering a cruciate knee ligament injury.

Zak Ansah is in the England Under-17 squad for a four-day tournament in Lincolnshire which starts on Wednesday. Australia, Portugal and Turkey are also taking part in the competition.
