Gunners boss confident of title bid

Arsene Wenger has talked up Arsenal's season and believes his side are good enough to lift the Premier League title.

Arsenal have enjoyed an impressive pre-season, beating Barnet, winning the Emirates Cup and also taking in a victory-laden tour to Austria.

They rounded off their preparations for the new campaign with an eyebrow-raising 6-5 win at Legia Warsaw on Saturday and Wenger says his side are in good shape ahead of a tough trip to Anfield on Sunday.

On Arsenal's chances of winning the title come next May, he said: "I believe we have a good chance.

"The most important thing is that we have that belief.

"We finished third last season, so we have two stairs to climb and I am confident that we can do it."
